TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY, and I’m celebrating with this move to a new home online for my weekly letters to friends.

Welcome to Letters from a Seasoned Soul, hosted by Substack!

My letter-posts will still appear on the bottom of the home page of my website, MaggieRowe.com, but Substack—a wonderful new platform for writers— will be dropping them into your inbox starting next Tuesday. If you’re reading this, it’s because you subscribed to my weekly posts sometime in the past even if you had not been receiving them lately. I’ve moved to Substack because so many of you told me that my letters just weren’t reaching you every week.

So why the new name after I’ve been blogging for years under the banner View from the Ridge? 

Simply because Letters from a Seasoned Soul captures my heart in five words.

We’re all a bit raw when we’re young, but as the years pass life has a way of seasoning us—adding a bit of sweetness here, salt there. The flavors of our lives grow richer, deeper. We are women and men whose faith has been tested. Like an oak which has endured countless storms, we’re weathered, wiser, yet still standing strong. Our souls are steeped in grace. 

I love the community we’ve built here, with over 1600 of you participating. We share thoughts on relationships, faith, loving others and loving God. We host a monthly giveaway (read on for the names of our June winners).

I enjoy passing along life hacks, book recommendations and resources to encourage and equip you for the challenges we all face.

Those of you who’ve read my first book, This Life We Share, know that its title was inspired by this verse~

So once again, welcome friends! Please leave me a quick “Got it!” to reassure me that your email address made the move with the rest of us to this new platform.
