Those of you who join me each week for a new View from the Ridge are the very ones I wish were sitting on my front porch today, sipping sweet tea and eating chocolate cake.
Because I just made a wish and blew out the candles in a sixty second celebration of the first birthday of my first literary child. I can't believe she's 12 months old already!
Because you couldn't be here in person, Mike recorded our little minute party for you. We had balloons.
We had flowers.
And we had smash cake!
